Kriya-yoga – meditative yoga for active people

In Yoga-sutra, Kriya-yoga is presented as a method to bring an active mind and person into a state of peaceful stillness. It consists of three principles:

tapas
svadhyaya
Ishvara pranidhana

All of these work body, mind, senses and prana in a way that brings about a focused state.

We take a look at the principles of each three component in the context of Viniyoga by Tirumalai Krishnamacharya. We will be exploring tools that are familiar from contemporary yoga, but used in a meditative way.
